I agree with Gerald's reasoning. Minimum wage's purpose is to provide the necessary funds for an individual to live without debt, and not changing minimum wage with inflation goes against minimum wage's purpose. Gerald should not be getting paid the same amount that he was getting paid 30 years ago, because a gallon of milk doesn't cost the same amount today that it cost 30 years ago.
9. Why do you think that Alex became so emotional about the services that were given to her and Morgan at The Free Store?
Alex became so emotional at The Free Store because she was used to worrying about money, but everything was free in The Free Store. She was stressing over money for furniture and food, and when she walked in to the store and they greeted her with free food and free furniture. Their generosity made her become emotional because the stress was momentarily lifted off her shoulders.
