What role did budgeting play in survival for Alex and Morgan?
Budgeting was imperative for the survival of Morgan and Alex. In order for them to have survived through the 30 days the had to put their old lifestyle to the side and be much more fragile. This meant that the couple had to keep their balance on their mind constantly, and really separate the needs from the wants in their life. The main character Morgan especially had a difficult time separating the two aspects of their life.
How good were Morgan and Alex at budgeting for 30 days?
Morgan and Alex adjusted pretty well to receiving minimum wag opposed to being a millionaire couple and overall they did well for 30 days. Morgan made some bad spending decisions that, if they lived on minimum wage for any longer, could have hurt them. Along with that hospital bills added up to being quite a lot of money and had potential to bankrupt the couple, but the couple budgeted well for 30 days, any longer, and they might have been on the streets.
