3) Do you feel that race was a factor in getting hired or finding an apartment for Morgan and Alex? What about the fact that they had no children?

I think that race had a huge factor in how quickly both Alex and Morgan got an apartment and a job. If they were anything but white both the landlord and their employers might not have seen them as trustworthy due to stereotypes. The landlord especially might not have let them pay off their security deposit over the course of the month if they had not been white. The fact that they had no children also played a role, with no children they were less likely to be taking days off to take care of their kids. No kids also means that there is less risk of them making a mess of the apartment or causing a noise disturbance among the other renters. Their fame also probably had a big impact, due to the popularity of Super Size Me they might have known who he was. Or the fact that there was a camera man following them around might have tipped them off that this was someone famous or important.

12) Observe how easy it was for Morgan and Alex to get into an argument over finances. What is the underlying feeling that you think is at the cause of the conflict?

I think that one of the underlying reasons that Morgan and Alex got into a fight about finances so easily was how stressed they were. Alex was stressed from having to forfeit her plans of a big birthday celebration with her friends, because she was doing so much to try and save as much money as possible so they could pay their bills. She might have also been stressed out by Morgan choosing not to do as much as she did. Morgan was also stressed but I think that he didn’t know how to handle it as well. He was so used to his old habits with his money while living off the success of Super Size Me. Alex was trying to change her habits a lot more than Morgan seemed willing to and that also stressed both of them out. With both of them stressed out they were both more temperamental and fought more easily. I also think that the fact that they had different ideas about how to save and when it was ok to use money contributed to the cause of the argument.
